Description: Traditional Hopi hand carved Katsina "Na-ngasohu" by Alex Youvella Sr.. Also known as the Chasing Star or Planet Katsina. The detail is amazing! The katsina is holding a bell in his right hand and a Yucca whip in his left hand. Alex carves his katsinam from the root of a cottonwood tree. He uses acrylic paints for his colors. He is the son of Tino Youvella and is from First Mesa.
