Description: Traditional Hopi hand carved Katsina "Angwusnasomtaka" by Alex Youvella Sr.. Also known as the Crow Mother Katsina. The detail is amazing! The katsina is holding a large bowl of white cornmeal for prayers. Alex carves his katsinam from the root of a cottonwood tree. He uses acrylic paints for his colors. He is the son of Tino Youvella and is from First Mesa.
