Description: "Alien Man" figurine from Cochiti potter Kyle Ortiz! This is an incredible piece! Kyle uses all natural pigments for his paints (Red rock clay for red, White slip which can turn beige or grey depending on the firing conditions, and wild spinach for black) He fires all of his pottery outdoors the traditional way. A true collector's item! This will be a one of kind piece! Kyle is the nephew of noted potter Virgil Ortiz. He is also the cousin of Lisa Holt and grandson of Seferina & Guadalupe Ortiz.
Note: There is a small dot of black slip missing from the back "valve" and a small chip on his back leg. I did not notice these when I purchased it from Kyle. We have discounted the price accordingly.
