Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled Thunderbird / Eagle Jar by Debbie Clashin. Deb calls this piece "Birds of The Hopi People". It has traditional Hopi symbols within the birds including KivaSteps, black for night, red for sunlight and spots for rain! Deb used a different color yellow slip around the rim which turned orange after firing! Debbie is the daughter of Lorena & Morris Clashin Sr. She was taught by her late cousin Dianna Tahbo and then by Mark Tahbo. She signs "Debbie Clashin" with a Pipe hallmark below to represent her Tobacco Clan. Debbie uses all natural vegetal & mineral paints and fires her pottery outdoors. She has steadily become very much in demand and her work is highly collectible.
