Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled Seed Jar fired outdoors by Fannie L. Polacca. It has a traditional patterns painted around the perimeter. This one has a cut out at the rim! It is hand coiled, painted with natural pigments from the Earth and fired outdoors the traditional way! Fannie is the daughter of noted potter Thomas Polacca. She was taught by her father and her grandmother, Fannie Lesso Polacca and is the great granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano. She is the sister of Gary Polacca, Delmar Polacca, Carla Claw & Elvira Naha. There are no cracks or chips or repairs. It does have a smoke cloud on one side from the outdoor firing.
