Hopi American Indian Pottery Wedding Vase - Joy Frogwoman Navasie
Artist: Joy "Frogwoman" Navasie (Hopi Tribe)
Dimensions: 11 1/2" tall X 6 1/2" Wide
Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled Jar fired outdoors by Joy "Frogwoman" Navasie. It has a Sikyatki Bird pattern painted on each side. Joy was the daughter of Paqua Naha who was the original Frogwoman. This piece was originally purchased in the 1970's and acquired from an estate sale. There are no cracks or chips or repairs. There is some minor paint wear which is typical for a piece this age and some weird vertical streaks which we are not sure what caused them. Priced accordingly.
