Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled bowl by award winning artist Lydia Mahle. It has 4 sections with traditional designs including bird, rain and clouds painted around the perimeter and a very nice orange blush color! The mouth has 4 raised half circles. The walls of Lydia's pottery are very thin which is the sign of an excellent potter. The symmetry is excellent! Lydia is the sister in law of Gloria Mahle. She was taught by her mother the late Stella Huma. She uses all natural bee weed and mineral paints and fires her pottery outdoors the traditional way.
