Description: Hand coiled Wall Pocket with flowers around the face and a butterfly & corn stalk on the back! Wall pockets were used to hold corn meal as an offering of good luck. Hand coiled, fired outdoors with natural pigments by husband & wife team Miriam & Xavier Lucero. They were taught by Miriam's mother Alvina Garcia.This piece is only signed by Xavier. Xavier is the son of Lupe Lucero from the Jemez Pueblo. This one has a slight twist on the back, but will still hang on the wall without a problem
