Description: LARGE hand coiled Jar by Vidal Aguilar of Kewa / Santo Domingo Pueblo. A traditional design in black & white slips with flowers, moon & geometric designs. A very nice piece! Vidal hand coils his pottery and fires outdoors. He does use a mix of natural slips and acrylic paints. His brothers Robert & Darren are also potters. He is the nephew of Raphaelita Aguilar and the grandson of Miguelita Aguilar (who taught him). This piece is about the same size as the one he is holding in the photo!
