Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled Moth Jar fired outdoors by Karen Abieta. It has 4 Moth designs and other traditional designs painted around the perimeter including shard designs around the rim. It's a really beautiful piece! Karen is the daughter of Lenora Nahoodyce Abeyta and Isidor Abieta who is from Isleta. She is a member of the Kachina/Parrot Clan from her mothers side. Her work is very high quality. She has won awards at Santa Fe Indian Market & Heard Museum shows among others. This piece was acquired from a private collector.
