Description: Traditional hand coiled "Love Birds Jar" pottery from Taos Pueblo by award winning artist Bernice Naranjo. This piece is spectacular! There are 2 love birds looking at each other from across the tree! There is also one on the bottom. I guess he's the odd man out! These are all sgraffito etched into the pottery! Wow! Bernice uses all natural pigments for her paints and gathers her clay twice a year from Pueblo land. She specializes in traditional and contemporary pottery. She is a self taught artist. She is the mother of Dusty Naranjo who is also a noted potter and her grandson is Jonathan Naranjo who is also an award winning potter! It is signed with her hallmark.
