Description: Traditional hand coiled "Crane Jar" pottery from Taos Pueblo by award winning artist Bernice Naranjo. This piece is absolutely spectacular! There is a water scene around the perimeter with a Crane eating a fish, several ducks, dragonfly and birds off in the distance! There are rain designs at the bottom with the natural clay exposed! These are all sgraffito etched into the pottery! Wow! Bernice uses all natural pigments for her paints and gathers her clay twice a year from Pueblo land. She specializes in traditional and contemporary pottery. She is a self taught artist. She is the mother of Dusty Naranjo who is also a noted potter and her grandson is Jonathan Naranjo who is also an award winning potter! Signed with her hallmark.
