Description: A very nice Yei Figure jar by award winning Navajo artist Ida Sahmie. The vase has 4 Yei figures around the perimeter. Each one has a different pattern on their clothing. Yei symbols represent the Navajo Yei Spirit who meditates between humans and the Great Spirit. Navajo Yei Spirits are believed to control elements such as rain, snow, wind, sun and control night & day. A very beautiful piece of art! Ida uses all natural materials for her paints and fires her pottery outdoors.
