Description: Hand coiled Carved Blackware bowl by Santa Clara Pueblo artist Billy Cain. It has an Avanyu (Water Serpent) design carved around the perimeter. The top has an asymetrical openibg which was intentional. Billy always liked doing things a little differently. This has been in our personal collection for many years, but are downsizing now. Billy is the son of Mary & William Cain. He is the Uncle of Tammy Garcia & Autumn Borts-Medlock.
Purchased directly from Billy Cain many years ago before he passed away.
